In general terms, my research interest is focused on the conjunction between ‘implicit’ and ‘explicit’ preferences for food, which has a profound influence on human eating behavior. Particularly, I am interested in: (1) Are there common traits which underlie all eating and weight disorders? (2) Why do some individuals tend to overeat and snack constantly, all the while demonstrating behavior absent from hunger or other homeostatic mechanisms? (3) Do implicit/explicit measurements and underlying neural processes vary as a result of different dieting manipulations?
